Deep Winter

A Luxury Women's Self Care Retreat

You’re invited to explore inspired movement, meditation, womb-healing practices and heart-opening ritual in a luxurious private home setting in nature.  Join a loving circle of women to sink into the restorative energies of the deep winter and come home to yourself.

Friday February 2 – Monday February 5, 2024

I invite you to join us for a special long weekend retreat at a beautiful home north of St. Paul, MN.

In nature, deep winter is a time for deep rejuvenation, rest, hibernation… and also for dreaming…

It’s the perfect time to slow down enough to tap into your essential self… your essence, to see what is most true for you.

I personally can think of no better way than to weave music, massage, movement, warm water and ceremony to come into a space of remembering the deep well within.

I hope you’ll consider joining us!

Space is very limited to

only 12 women total

The forest and waters surrounding this recently renovated home are the perfect container in which to create sacred space together.

Through movement, music, ritual, sharing and rest, we will reconnect with our hearts, our bodies and our true nature.  This is designed to be a time of renewal, connection, celebration and rejuvenation on all levels of our beings.

During this retreat, we’ll have opportunities for deep rest in luxurious and comfortable accommodations,  we’ll enjoy organic, home-cooked meals, and we’ll explore self care through movement, ancient womb care practices, music and ritual to tap into your center.

And while we’ll definitely go deep… we’ll also have fun!

I’m eager to swim together in the warm salt water pool and hot tub, laugh, share and yes… we’ll even have opportunities to sing together and dance.

In addition to my long-time role as a nurse and women’s health practitioner, I am a sacred song carrier and a musician and I have been leading groups in song for many years now. At our last retreat, I could hardly believe how fast women picked up on the songs. Singing together is such good medicine!  I also jokingly call myself a sacred DJ 🙂  I love few things more than to touch hearts and get a room moving with amazing music from around the world.

Consider giving yourself the gift of stepping away from the momentum of life to make an investment in yourself to tap into your needs and your own inner guidance system… and have some warm fun when it’s cold outside.

What might be possible in your life if you honor the seasonal wisdom of rejuvenation and dreaming?

Let’s explore it together.

Qoya Inspired Movement

Qoya is a movement system based on the idea that through movement, we remember.

We remember our essence is wise, wild and free.

Through movement, ritual, community connection, and pilgrimages, we learn to trust the physical sensation of truth in our bodies.

It‘s for women of all ages, body types and levels of movement experience.

Though at times it can be hard to feel your essence, it is always there for you.

In Qoya, there is no way you can do it wrong and you know you’re doing it right when it feels good.

More than feeling good, it feels honest, resonant, and true.

“This class combined the best parts of a movement class, a women’s circle, and a silly dance party. It facilitates connection, empathy (for self & others) and awareness.”

Cacao & Gratitude Despacho Ceremony

The Maya people call cacao “the water that runs through the heart” since raw ceremonial cacao is a powerful heart opener that paves the way to transformation through self-love. It is said that cacao opens the doorway to heart but you have to walk through it.

We’ll spend time creating beauty and bathing in the sensation of gratitude and love with a traditional Despacho Ceremony from the Andes, on of my favorite offerings to share.

The Andean elders say that this ceremony creates a state of “ayni” or right relationship with life. In small ways and big ways, this ceremony has the potential to open the way for more miracles, synchronicities and prayers answered in life in the follwing days, months and beyond.

We’ll say thank you and create an offering in the form of a beautiful mandala of gratitude that will become a gift that we’ll give back to Pachamama, mother earth.

When we began I thought, “yeah right this is going to get me to open my heart.” I couldn’t believe it actually worked.  -Participant

Ancient Womb Care

Don Elijio Panti, the last known living Mayan shaman, taught my teacher, Rosita Arvigo, everything he knew before he died at the age of 103 in the jungles of Belize.

He is known to have said this: “A woman’s uterus is her center – if her uterus is out of balance, so shall everything in her life be.”

In my almost 15 years in private practice, I have worked hands on and hands-in the bodies of many hundreds of women and I have found few things more powerful than the abdominal therapy that was passed to me in the lineage of great mayan midwives and healers.

I am eager to share this self care practice with you… to hand you some of the keys to the power you carry in your own hands to heal yourself by bringing flow to the blood, nerves, lymph and energy in your center. To learn to connect with your womb is an ultimate gift.

This exact work changed my life. It is very simple and very powerful work that we will explore together that you can carry home to continue practicing for the rest of your life if you wish.
